iOS bytecode patch applier for CodePush. Add this only if you patch iOS; it requires a Flutter engine built with --dart-dynamic-modules and will not compile against a stock SDK.
codepush_ios #
The iOS bytecode patch applier for codepush.
Add it only if you patch iOS:
dependencies:
codepush: ^0.1.0
codepush_ios: ^0.1.0
Why this is a separate package #
It calls dart:_internal.applyCodePushPatch, which exists only in a Flutter
engine built with --dart-dynamic-modules. A direct call to it does not fail
at runtime — it fails at kernel compilation, with Method not found.
So if codepush depended on it, every app using CodePush could only be built
with the forked engine. Including flutter run in debug, and including
Android, which needs no fork at all because its patch is a libapp.so the
stock engine already knows how to load.
Keeping the call here is what lets an Android-only app, and every developer's debug build, use a stock Flutter SDK.
You do not import this #
The entrypoint codepush release ios generates registers the applier before
main(). Nothing in your lib/ mentions it.
